Adding products and buy links

Click Create, then Create Product.

Step 1: Product details

Upload photos and fill in the product title, brand, price and description. Use the description to say why you chose it; it's the most useful thing a viewer can read before buying.

Step 2: Video and social links

Add a video about the product if you have one. Adding social links to products is part of Pro Plus.

Step 3: Buy link, promo code and setups

• Buy link (Pro and Pro Plus): add the link people should use to buy the product. It can be any web address that starts with http:// or https://, including an affiliate link from Amazon, an affiliate network or a smart link such as Geniuslink. On the free plan, this field is locked.
• Promo code (Pro and Pro Plus): add a discount code for the product. Clicks on promo codes are tracked separately from the buy button.
• Setups: search for the setups this product belongs in. A product can be connected to more than one setup, so you only add things like your phone or laptop once.

Keeping links current

When a product is discontinued or a link stops working, edit the product's buy link or swap the product in the setup. The setup's link doesn't change, so videos that link to it show the update. On Pro, Setup101 also monitors your links and notifies you when one breaks. To check links outside Setup101, use the free affiliate link checker.
