Gear lists
Make a gear list your viewers can actually use
On Setup101, a gear list is a setup: a page for your desk, camera bag, studio or everyday carry, with a photo and a note for every product. Share one link to it from every video, and change the products whenever your gear changes.
Examples
What a setup page looks like
Each setup has a cover photo, a description, its category and the products in it, with the creator's profile alongside. Some real ones, from different kinds of creator:
Products
Add your products
Add each product with a name, photos and a description, on the web or in the iOS and Android apps. Products you've already added can be connected to more than one setup, so your phone or laptop only needs adding once. On Pro, each product also gets a buy link (any retailer or affiliate network) and an optional promo code.
Notes
Say why you chose each one
A list of product names tells viewers what you own. A sentence on why you picked it, and what you'd change, tells them whether it's right for them. Those notes are also what makes a gear page worth finding in search, rather than a copy of every other list.
Permanent links
One link per setup, for every video that mentions it
Put the setup's link in your descriptions, bio and show notes. When a product is discontinued or you upgrade, edit the setup, and every video that links to it shows the current gear. How permanent links work.
Discovery
Get found by people browsing setups
Public setups show up in Setup101's gear categories and explore feed, so people looking for a desk setup or a camera bag can find yours alongside other creators'. It's a growing community rather than a huge one, so treat it as a bonus on top of your own audience.
