101 Course
Teach the gear you already use. Sell the course on the setup.
Setup101 gives creators one permanent link for all the gear they recommend — and more ways to earn from it.
101 Course is a Setup101 feature that lets creators build short courses on the gear and apps in their setups: sections and lessons with video, text and product cards, connected to the setup they teach. Learners enrol for free, track their progress, and find courses on the creator's setups, products, profile and link in bio.

What it is
A short course on the gear you already use
People already ask how you shoot, light, record and edit with the gear in your setup. A 101 Course answers it once: a few short lessons that teach one thing well, connected to the setup and the products it covers. It shows where people are already looking at your gear, so someone checking out your camera can learn how you use it.

How it works
Make one in an afternoon
- 01
Start a course
Open 101 Courses in the sidebar and click New course. Give it a name, like "Camera settings 101", and say what people will be able to do afterwards.
- 02
Connect it to your gear
Pick the setup it belongs to and the products and apps it teaches. That's where people will find it.
- 03
Add sections and lessons
Each lesson can have a video from YouTube, Vimeo, Loom or Wistia, plus text, lists, images and product cards. Make the first lesson a free preview.
- 04
Publish
One click. The course goes live on your setup, the products it teaches and your profile, and gets its own page.
- 05
Share the link
Put setup101.io/course/your-course-name in your video descriptions and posts. Shared links show the course cover and title.
Step by step: creating a 101 Course and adding lessons.
Lessons that sell the gear
Show the product where you teach it
Drop a product card into any lesson, right where you use it. It shows the product from your library, and the product also appears under "Gear in this lesson" beside the lesson. Every click is counted in your course Insights.
Product cards can use your buy and affiliate links, so you can see which lesson sells which gear. See pricing for what each plan includes. Adding product cards.

Double your frame rate: at 25 fps, use 1/50. Then control brightness with ISO and the lens, not the shutter.
For learners
Free to take, easy to finish
- Enrol for free and pick up where they left off. Progress is saved lesson by lesson.
- Watch a free preview lesson before enrolling.
- Mark lessons complete, save courses for later and ask questions in the comments.
- See the gear as they learn: product cards in the lesson and "Gear in this lesson" beside it.
Compared with Teachable
A course site, or a course on your setup
Teachable is a separate course website. Its Builder plan is $89 a month billed monthly, and the $39 Starter plan adds a 7.5% fee on every sale (from Teachable's pricing page, checked October 15, 2026). A 101 Course lives on your setup and on the products it teaches, so people find it while they're looking at your gear, and the gear in each lesson is one click away.
Setup101 vs Teachable, in full. See pricing for what each Setup101 plan includes.
Linked courses
Already sell a course somewhere else?
Link it. A course you sell on Teachable, Udemy, Kajabi or similar shows as a small row under your 101 Courses on the setup, going straight to the other site, with your affiliate link. Clicks are counted. See pricing for how many courses each plan can link. Linking a course.
Honest limits
What 101 Course doesn't do (yet)
- Courses are free to take for now. Paid courses are coming soon.
- Video is played from YouTube, Vimeo, Loom or Wistia. You can't upload video to Setup101 yet.
- There are no quizzes, certificates or reviews yet.
- There's no course directory or search: courses are found through the setups, products and profiles they belong to.

Your course, your setup, your links
Your course sits on your setup page, and your affiliate links earn as students buy the gear. The setup's link never changes, so the course stays easy to find from every video you've made. How permanent links work.
