Choosing your username and profile link

Your username is your profile link: setup101.io/profile/yourname. You choose it when you sign up, and you can change it in Settings → Account → Profile Information.

Username rules

  • 3 to 30 characters.
  • Letters, numbers, underscores (_) and hyphens (-) only.
  • No spaces and no @ symbol.
  • It has to be one nobody else is using. The box shows Available when it's free.

How to choose or change your username

  1. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and open Settings.
  2. On the Account tab, click Profile Information.
  3. Type your username. Wait for Available.
  4. Save.

Why your username matters

  • It's your link in bio. Your profile link is what you put in your Instagram, TikTok and YouTube bios.
  • The Creators directory needs it. Accounts that skipped choosing a username (they get an automatic one like setup101abc12345) don't appear in the Creators directory.

FAQ

What happens to my old link if I change my username?

Your profile link changes to the new username. Update it anywhere you've shared it, such as your social bios.

Can I use my brand name?

Yes, as long as it follows the rules above and isn't taken.
