Setup101 for brands

Put your product in a creator's setup. Pay only if they say yes.

Setup101 gives creators one permanent link for all the gear they recommend — and more ways to earn from it.

Brands can pay a Setup101 creator to feature a product on one of their setups for 1 week, 1 month or 3 months. Your card is only charged if the creator accepts within 72 hours, and the product goes live as soon as they do.

Why a setup

A placement that stays where people shop

A setup is a creator's list of the gear they actually use, shared from one link in their videos, posts and bio. That link keeps working as the setup changes, so a placement isn't tied to one post: viewers of old and new content alike land on the same setup, with your product in it for the length you booked.

How it works

Four steps, one charge

  1. 01

    Find a setup

Open Sponsor a creator and browse setups with an open slot, or use "Sponsor this setup" on any setup page.

  2. 02

Pick a length and send your brief

Choose 1 week, 1 month or 3 months, add your product (name, link, photos, an optional video) and a message to the creator.

  3. 03

Check out with your card held

Pay with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. The payment is held, not charged.

  4. 04

Go live when the creator accepts

If the creator accepts within 72 hours, your card is charged and your product appears on their setup straight away. If not, the hold is released.

What it costs

The creator's price, plus 10%

Each creator sets their own price for 1 week, 1 month and 3 months, starting at $50. You pay that price plus a 10% service fee, in US dollars. On a $400 placement you pay $440. Your card is held when you send the request and charged only if the creator accepts.

Trust

Labelled, every time

  • Every sponsored product shows a "Sponsored" tag and "Paid placement by" your brand.
  • The setup itself says it includes a sponsored product.
  • Sponsored links are marked rel="sponsored" for search engines.
  • Creators approve every request, so your product only appears where the creator chose it.

This describes how Setup101 labels placements. It isn't legal advice on disclosure rules in your country.

Honest limits

What it doesn't do yet

  • No chat with the creator inside Setup101; your brief and their reply are the conversation.
  • No per-campaign report of views and clicks.
  • You can't pick a slot or book dates ahead.
  • Prices are in US dollars only.
  • No reviews or ratings of creators yet.

Questions

What brands ask first

How much does it cost to sponsor a creator on Setup101?
The creator sets a price for each length, at least $50. You pay that price plus a 10% service fee. A $400 placement costs you $440.
When is my card charged?
Only when the creator accepts. Until then the payment is held. If they decline or don't answer within 72 hours, the hold is released and nothing is charged.
Do I need a brand account?
No. Anyone with a Setup101 account can sponsor a creator. Signing up is free.
Can I cancel a sponsorship?
You can withdraw a request for free before the creator accepts. Once it's live it can't be cancelled, but you can raise a dispute up to 48 hours after it ends and Setup101 decides. If the creator removes your product while it's live, you get a full refund.
How is my product labelled?
Every sponsored product shows a "Sponsored" tag and "Paid placement by" your brand name, and its link is marked as sponsored for search engines.
Can I choose which slot or book a date ahead?
Not yet. Your product goes into the setup's next open slot and starts as soon as the creator accepts.
