Can a brand send a collab request without a Setup101 account?
Yes. A brand can pitch a creator from their profile with just a work email. They confirm it with a 4-digit code, and if the creator accepts, they get an email with a link to the conversation. The link works for 30 days, and each new email brings a fresh one.
How to send a request without an account
- Open the creator's profile and click their collab button.
- Choose the type of collab and fill in the form.
- Under About you, add Your name, your Brand or company (optional) and your Work email.
- Click Continue.
- Enter the 4-digit code from your email. It expires after a few minutes and works once. You can ask for Send a new code.
You'll see Request sent. Nothing is sent to the creator until you enter the code.
What emails does the brand get?
- The code: to confirm the email address.
- Accepted: when the creator accepts, with a link to Open the conversation.
- New message: when the creator writes to you, with a Reply link. You won't get one for every message: they're at least 10 minutes apart, and don't come while you're reading the conversation.
How does the reply link work?
Open it to see the request and the messages, and reply from there. You don't need an account or a password.
The link works for 30 days, and every new message email has a fresh one. If a link stops working, open the latest email. Keep it to yourself: anyone with the link can reply as you.
To keep everything in one place, you can create a free Setup101 account with the same email.
What are the limits?
- 3 requests a day from each email address.
- 1 open request with each creator.
- The creator must take requests from Pro and Pro Plus members, the default. If they've chosen Pro Plus members only, people they follow or nobody, a Setup101 member account is needed, or you can't send a request.
- Your email already has a Setup101 account? Log in to send your request. Member plan rules then apply.
FAQ
Can a brand book a sponsored slot without an account?
No. Sponsored slots need a Setup101 account, because they're booked and paid from a setup page. See how to sponsor a creator.
Will I be told if the creator declines?
No. A declined request stays as waiting, so you won't get an email. If you haven't heard back, the creator hasn't accepted.
As a creator, how do I spot these requests?
They show a No account tag in your Inbox. Their email address is shown once you accept.
Can I block a brand that has no account?
Not yet, because there's no account to block. Decline the request instead.
