How do I get email subscribers on Setup101?

People join your email list through your signup form: on your Setup101 profile, on a hosted signup page you can share anywhere, on your own website (Pro), and in the prompt they see right after they follow you. Every creator gets a default form automatically.

How to set up your signup form

1. Open Marketing in the sidebar and go to Signup forms.
2. Click Edit next to your default form, or New form to add another one.
3. Write the Headline, Description and Button text. The preview updates as you type.
4. Choose what Subscribers get: All my emails, or Just the weekly roundup of your new setups.
5. (Optional) Tick Ask for first name and change the Thank-you message.
6. Under Where it shows, tick the places you want the form.
7. Click Save.

Where can people sign up?

• Your profile: a "Get updates from you" box. Signed-out visitors enter their email; signed-in members subscribe with one click.
• Your hosted signup page: setup101.io/profile/your-username/subscribe. Tick Hosted page, save, then use Copy link and put it in your bio, video descriptions and posts.
• Your own website (Pro): tick Embed on your website, save, then Copy code and paste the snippet into your site. Emails are collected on Setup101 and confirmed by email. Your website never sees them.
• After they follow you: when someone follows you, they're asked how they'd like to hear from you. Push notifications are on; emails from you are a box they tick themselves.
• Your newsletter pages: every published issue and your newsletter page have a signup box.

How does confirming work?

People who sign up with just an email address get a confirmation email and join your list when they click the link. Until then they show as Waiting to confirm in Audience, and they're removed if they don't confirm within 30 days. Signed-in members don't need to confirm: their email is already verified.

What about people who already follow me?

Followers keep getting push notifications about your new setups, as before. They only get your emails if they opt in, for example from your profile box or in their settings.

FAQ

How many people can subscribe?

As many as you like. Every plan has unlimited subscribers.

Can I see who signed up through each form?

Yes. Signup forms shows views, confirmed signups and the conversion rate for each form, and Audience shows which form each person joined from.

Can I delete my default form?

No, but you can edit it. You can delete any other form; people who already signed up through it stay subscribed.

Can I upload a list of emails?

Not as an import, but you can invite them. In Marketing → Audience, upload a CSV of people who agreed to hear from you (1,000 a month on Pro, 10,000 on Pro Plus). Each person gets one invite from you, and only people who click to subscribe join your list. Everyone else is deleted after 30 days.
