How do I set up a welcome email sequence? (Pro)

Go to Marketing → Automations, click New sequence, pick the Welcome template, edit the emails and click Turn on. From then on, everyone who subscribes gets those emails one after another.

Pro runs 1 sequence (the Welcome series for new subscribers) and Pro Plus as many as you like, with every trigger. On Free you can build a sequence now and turn it on after you upgrade. See features by plan.

How to set up a welcome sequence

  1. Open Marketing in the sidebar and go to Automations.
  2. Under Sequences, click New sequence and pick Welcome (or Blank to start from one empty email).
  3. Give it a Name. Under Starts when, the trigger is Someone subscribes by email.
  4. Edit each email under Emails: subject, preview text, heading and content. Replace the placeholders that look [LIKE THIS].
  5. For each email, choose when it goes: Right away, or a number of Hours later or Days later, counted from the email before.
  6. Click Preview and Send me a test to check each email.
  7. Click Turn on and confirm.

What's in the templates?

  • Welcome (when someone subscribes): "Welcome, here's what I share" right away, "My most popular setup" 2 days later, and "The gear I'd buy again" 3 days after that.
  • Course launch (Pro Plus): announces your course, then "What you'll learn", then a last reminder. It stops for anyone who enrols.
  • Win back (Pro Plus): goes to subscribers with no opens or clicks for 60 days, then shows them what they missed.

Every template is fully editable, and you can add products, setups and courses from your library like in a newsletter.

What can start a sequence? (Pro Plus)

  • Someone subscribes by email (Pro and Pro Plus)
  • Someone joins through a signup form
  • A subscriber enrols in a course
  • A subscriber clicks a product in an email
  • A subscriber goes quiet (no opens or clicks for a number of days; someone gets it at most once every 90 days)

When does someone leave a sequence?

Always when they unsubscribe. You can also stop it when they enrol in a course or click a product, under Stops when. Nobody is added to the same sequence twice.

FAQ

Do people already on my list get the sequence?

No. Only people who meet the trigger after you turn it on.

Do sequence emails count toward my monthly sends?

Yes, each email counts as one send. If you run out, people wait and get their next email when your allowance resets on the 1st of the month. Extra sends are coming soon.

How many emails can a sequence have?

Up to 10.

Can I pause a sequence?

Yes. Click Pause. Nobody new joins, and people already in it wait until you turn it back on.
