How do newsletters and email work on Setup101?

Marketing is Setup101's newsletter and email builder for creators. You collect subscribers with signup forms, write newsletters with your products, setups and courses dropped in, publish them as pages on setup101.io and, on Pro and Pro Plus, email them to your subscribers.

On Free you can collect subscribers, write newsletters, send yourself a test and publish newsletters on the web. Emailing your subscribers starts on Pro. See features by plan.

Where do I find it?

Open Marketing in the sidebar. It has five tabs:

  • Audience: how many subscribers you have, how your list is growing and how much of this month's allowance you've used.
  • Broadcasts: your newsletters. Write a new one, see what you've sent and how it did.
  • Automations: the product drops Setup101 sends for you, and your sequences.
  • Signup forms: the forms people use to join your list.
  • Settings: your logo, colour and From name (Pro), and the extra sends setting (coming soon).

How does it work?

  1. People subscribe through your signup form, your hosted signup page or the prompt they see after following you.
  2. You write a newsletter and drop in products, setups and courses from your library.
  3. You publish it on the web, email it to your subscribers (Pro), or both.
  4. You check the stats: opens, clicks and product clicks.

Your subscribers stay on Setup101. You see their names, never their email addresses, and the list can't be exported. Your subscribers and privacy.

FAQ

Is there a limit on subscribers?

No. Every plan has unlimited subscribers. Paid plans are priced by how many emails you send each month.

Can people reply to my emails?

No. Emails come from "Your name via Setup101" at noreply@updates.setup101.io and can't be replied to. Every email links readers to message you on Setup101 instead.

Can I import my existing email list?

Not as an import, but you can invite them. In Marketing → Audience, upload a CSV of people who agreed to hear from you (1,000 a month on Pro, 10,000 on Pro Plus). Each person gets one invite from you, and only people who click to subscribe join your list. Everyone else is deleted after 30 days.

Can I charge for my newsletter?

Not yet. Paid newsletters are coming soon.
